How to Give

There are many wonderful causes and ministries to direct your gift to (see the list below under “Where to Give”), and we offer many ways for conveying your giving:

Online payment allows you to contribute directly to the church by using either a credit card or bank account information.  You may contribute a one time or recurring payment. Of note, credit card payments do deduct a fee from the actual amount the church receives, while bank account transfers do not.

Mail a check to:
Faith Church
Attn: Rhonda Amon
12007 Excelsior Blvd
Minnetonka, MN 55343

Weekly pledge envelopes are provided to any members requesting any time.  These can be used to enclose your gift each Sunday. Questions regarding your giving to Faith Church are held in the strictest of confidence.  Please contact the office and ask for Rhonda if you wish to receive offering envelopes.

Legacy participants have generously given to the church through bequests in their will, annuities, trusts and life insurance.  These funds can be given to the General Fund or Faith Foundation.  Within the Foundation, moneys can be contributed to the endowment which provides a restricted source of funds with a portion of the earnings available each year for new projects and needs outside of the general operating budget of the church.  There are also specific funds which exist for a designated purpose or a person can create your own fund as coordinated with Faith Leadership. Consult with your financial advisor or estate attorney to create your own legacy funding.

Faith Church welcomes stock and mutual fund transfers.  Giving stock held more than 12 months offers a two-fold tax savings.  You avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in value of your stock and receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift.  This is an excellent option for stock that has appreciated substantially in value.

Interested in contributing appreciated securities to Faith Church? Notify your broker/financial advisor that you wish to transfer securities to Faith.  You should transfer the securities “in kind.” As a result, you do not sell them, but give them in their current form directly from your account to Faiths brokerage account.

Please notify our finance administrative person at [email protected] or call the church at 952-935-4481 to obtain transfer instructions and be prepared to also provide the following information:

  • Your name and address
  • Name of the stock or mutual fund
  • Number of shares
  • Expected date of transfer
  • Purpose or intent of gift(contribution to General Fund, Missions or Faith Foundation)

You may choose to make your charitable contributions directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). You may benefit from the IRA Charitable Rollover provision which allows individuals who have reached age 72 to donate to charitable organizations directly from their IRA, without treating the distribution as taxable income.  Please consult with your tax advisor and contact our finance officer with the information about your contribution.  Donors are not identified when the distribution is received.

Please notify our finance administrative person at [email protected] or call the church at 952-935-4481 to obtain transfer instructions and be prepared to also provide the following information:

  • Your name and address
  • Name of the stock or mutual fund
  • Number of shares

Looking to make your giving dollars go further?  Start by finding out if your employer has a matching gift program in place.  Your company can tell you, usually via the Human Resources department and the steps to take for matching gifts.  Many companies will match all or part of your gifts to Faith Church, which is a 501©(3) organization.  If you have any questions regarding your match request, contact our finance officer at [email protected] or call 952-935-4481.

This is our day to day fund that brings us together in worship, for discipleship and sends us out to share the love of Christ in all the communities where we live, work and go to school.

Our missions support local, regional, and world wide ministries. We call our missions “Beyond Us.” Click Here to see all the ministries and missions we support.

  • ECO Support: We are part of a broader denomination known as the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. We work together with other churches, pastors, and leaders in our congregation as we come together to join in God’s mission in this world.
  • ICA: We partner with our local food shelf to provide for our community.
  • Life Rebuilders: We partner with a local Christian prison ministry that helps newly released people to integrate in the community and get their legs back underneath them while also sharing with them the love of Christ.
  • Pastor Discretionary Fund: This fund helps fuel the Faith’s ministries giving the pastors the freedom to allocate funds to best fuel the greater mission at Faith Church.
  • Community Meal: We offer an every third Thursday of the month meal for anyone who is looking for a meal and community. This fund helps offset the costs of these meals so that they can be offered free of charge to any of our guests.
  • Children Ministry: We believe we are called to teach the Gospel to our children, their children, for every generation. This fund helps fuel this particular ministry.
  • Kim Bahige: This fund helps our church planter Kim Bahige with day to day expenses that he and his family may incur to better do ministry overseas.
  • Poinsettias: Every Christmas we decorate our sanctuary with poinsettias, and then share them with many of our homebound to help them celebrate where ever they may be.
  • Christmas – Florida Relief/New Mission: Every year we take a special Christmas offering that will be designated to ministries that are new to us, may be situationally directed towards natural disasters, and helps us give a special gift to those who may be lacking any particular year.
  • FCT Donation: We love to reach our city with our Faith Community Theater by offering two productions on a typical year. Join us in celebrating the arts in a Christ- centered fashion.
  • Endowment giving: The Endowment Fund of the Foundation grows over time through prudent investments, and the income from these combined gifts is used to support opportunities outside of the general operations budget such as special needs within or outside of the church. Contributions to the Endowment Fund can be made at any time using any of the Giving Methods outlined within the Giving Page of Faith Church.
  • Designated Funds: established with a minimum contribution of $5000 with an intended purpose within the church, such as Children’s ministry or kitchen equipment. Currently, Faith Church has two Designated Funds:
    • Effertz Fund
    • Education Fund
