Governance

Faith Cemetery is a private cemetery which was established in 1887. It is governed by the Faith Presbyterian Church Cemetery Board of Trustees, with oversight of the Church Session.

The Faith Church Cemetery Handbook includes the Articles of Incorporation, By-laws, and Policies of Operation. You may contact the church office or a cemetery trustee to receive a copy.

History

In 1887, Frank Bren gave land for the church building and cemetery. Church leaders asked him if he was willing to sell or donate this prime real estate located on a hill. He gifted it! The Church was organized as the Bohemian Evangelical Church of Deep Haven Junction.

In 1900, the congregation became Presbyterian and was renamed the Bohemian Presbyterian Church. In 1939, the Bohemian Presbyterian Church was renamed the John Hus Presbyterian Church. In 1968 the Glen Lake Presbyterian Church and the John Hus Church merged, and the congregation was named Faith Presbyterian Church.

Costs

Both standard plots and cremation plots are available. For current costs and fees, please call the church office.

Gifts and Memorials

The electric lamps, memorial garden, and signs have been made possible by special gifts.

If you would like to contribute to keep this special place well-maintained and beautiful, you may direct your gift to the Cemetery Fund of Faith Church. We welcome your participation. For other inquiries or suggestions, you may contact any member of the Cemetery Board of Trustees.
